What is music?
Music is an art form whose medium is sound and silence. Its common elements are pitch (which governs melody and
harmony), rhythm and (its associated concepts tempo, meter and articulation), dynamics and the sonic qualities of timbre and
text. The word derives from Greek (mousike,” art of the muses”).
The creation, performance, significance, and even the definition of music vary according to culture and social context. Music
ranges from strictly organized compositions (and their recreation in performance) through improvisational music to aleatoric
forms. Music can be divided into genres and subgenres, although the dividing lines and relationship between music genres

Robin Hood
Robin Hood was a heroic outlaw in England in the medieval time. He was a very skillful archer and swordsman, known for
"robbing from the rich and giving to the poor"; he was assisted by a group of fellow outlaws known as his "Merry Men".
Traditionally, Robin Hood and his men are depicted wearing Lincoln green clothes. The origin of the legend is claimed by
some to have stemmed from actual outlaws, or from ballads or tales of outlaws.
Robin Hood became a popular folk figure in the medieval period continuing through to modern literature, films and television.
In the earliest sources, Robin Hood is a yeoman, but he was often later portrayed as an aristocrat wrongfully dispossessed of

Erosion
Erosion is the process by which soil and rock are removed from the Earth's surface by natural processes such as wind or
water flow, and then transported and deposited in other locations.
While erosion is a natural process, human activities have dramatically increased (by 10-40 times) the rate at which erosion is
occurring globally. Excessive erosion causes problems such as desertification, decreases in agricultural productivity due to
land degradation, sedimentation of waterways, and ecological collapse due to loss of the nutrient rich upper soil layers. Water
and wind erosion are now the two primary causes of land degradation; combined, they are responsible for 84% of degraded
acreage, making excessive erosion one of the most significant global environmental problems we face today.
Industrial agriculture, deforestation, roads, anthropogenic climate change and urban sprawl are amongst the most significant
human activities in regards to their effect on stimulating erosion. However, there are many available alternative land use
practices that can curtail or limit erosion, such as terrace-building, no-till agriculture, and revegetation of denuded soils.

Comics
Comics, the combination of words and pictures started to emerge in the United States in the early 20th century with the
newspaper comic strip, where its form began to be standardized, first in Sunday strips and later in daily strips. Quickly
spread throughout the world.
Comic strips were soon gathered into cheap booklets and reprint comic books. Original comic books soon followed. Today,
comics are found in newspapers, magazines, comic books, graphic novels and on the web. Historically, the form dealt with
humorous subject matter, but its scope has expanded to encompass the full range of literary genres. Also see: Comic strip
and cartoon. In some circles, comics are still seen as low art, though there are exceptions, such as Krazy Kat and Barnaby.
However, such an elitist "low art/high art" distinction doesn't exist in the French-speaking world, where the bandes dessinées
medium as a whole is commonly accepted as "the Ninth Art", is usually dedicated a non-negligible space in bookshops and
libraries, and is regularly celebrated in international events such as the Angoulême International Comics Festival. Such
distinctions also do not exist in the Japanese manga, the world's largest comic’s culture. Critical discussions of the form
appeared as early as the 1920s, but serious studies were rare until the late 20th century.

Analyzing the way how neurons work to buy things, scientists from the University of Yale in the USA have reached to predict
what decision to make when saving or spending a certain amount of money. It was published in a magazine called Neuron by
this group of researchers, according to them there are several areas in the brain that imply to reward immediately with a great
benefit or to have it in a long term. It means to make a decision between buying a car that is parked right here in front of us or
saving that money.
It implies a complex brain network that involves the basal ganglion charged to control the motor function but also to value the
greatest rewarding and the time it will last to have it thus the prefrontal cavity associated to the logical thinking. Although in
the instant before making a decision, it is possible to predict which will be the response by observing the activity of only one
neuron in this network it was said by Daeyeol Lee a neurologist from Yale and responsible of this investigation. This study will
be useful to know the behavior to gamble and addictions of other types.

Popeye did not go astray when boasted of eating spinach to get muscular strength. According to an article published in the
journal Cell Metabolism, a daily intake of 300 grams of spinach reduces the amount of oxygen necessary for the functioning
of the muscles when you exercise, like riding a bicycle. The secret is in iron but high in nitrates, which become more efficient
in the mitochondria, responsible for providing energy to cells in the form of ATP. "It's like if you put more fuel in the muscles,"
says study author, Eddie Weitzberg, Karolinska Institute, Stockholm (Sweden).
In conclusion, the researchers gave a group of volunteers for several days pure nitrate supplements equivalent to a plate of
200 to 300 grams of spinach. At the beginning and end of the experiment made them ride a stationary bike while measuring
their oxygen consumption, which fell to 5 percent compared to a control group who had taken a placebo. Now they are
planning a study of long-term effects.
