January 13, 2020 (8:30-9:30) HUMSS 11-MARX

I. Objectives
At the end of the lesson, the learner is able to:
1. Write a research title.
(CODE: CS_RS11-IIIc-e-2)
II. Subject Matter
A. Topic: Writing a Research Title
B. References: Practical Research 1 for SHS by Amadeo Pangilinan Cristobal, Jr., Ed. D. ,et.,
al.
C. Instructional Materials: Chalk and Board, laptop, projector, PPT,handouts

III. Procedure
A. PRE-ACTIVITY
a. Checking of Attendance
b. Review
Pasa de Bola!
The ball will be passed around while the music plays, when the music stops the one
holding the ball will have to recall the topic discussed last meeting and give his/her idea
about it.
c. Motivation
The teacher will instruct the students to proceed to their groupings that is according to
their talent interest. (4 groups) Before the activity, each group will present a short sample
of their talent.
Then the teacher will show/Play:
a. Title of the songs - then ask “what are these?”
b. Show titles of movies - then ask “what are these?”
c. Show title of research - then ask “what are these?”
d. Shows title of the poems- then ask “what are these?”
e. Shows some titles of Mathematical topics- then ask “what are these?”

B. LESSON PROPER
a. Presentation
The teacher will present the topic and the learning objective of the lesson.
b. Activity
Each group is given topic as follows:
1. Bullying
2. Solid Waste Management
3. Fraternity
4. Teenage pregnancy
In 3 minutes, make 3 possible research titles. Report on class.

c. Analysis
Do you agree on the reported research title, why?
Give comments. (by group)
Give suggestions. (by group)
How does titles affect the totality of a certain research or article?
d. Abstraction
What are the characteristics of a research title?
How to write a research title?

e. Application
If you are to author a book about your life, what would be your title?

IV. Evaluation
1. How to write a good research title?
2. If you are to make research about the latest issues in the society today, what would be the
best title that you can make out of it?

V. Assignment
Make 2 possible research title of the following situations:
a. Drugs
b. Sex education
