Title: Division Training of Trainers for the Secondary Teachers on Edukasyon sa


Pagpapakatao (EsP) on Teaching Strategies

I. Rationale

Edukasyon sa Pagpapakatao subject is considered as unique yet demanding subject in


Junior High School, that is why it is expected that teachers handling ESP subject need to
“Walk his/her talk” to inspire his/her students and colleagues to carry out the competencies
of this subject. Hence, the school Principals and Administrators must be informed how the
teaching strategies of ESP subject takes place in the classroom and how to intensify the
teaching of this subject.
In this regard, it is also important that the teachers’ formation and behavior must be
given priority because we can’t give what we don’t have. Somehow teachers modeling play a
vital role in this transformation of behavior from the Family, School, Church and the whole
country as well.
A. Topic Contents:
1. Revisiting and Intensifying the Teaching Strategies in Teaching ESP
Subject
2. Instructional Management Design for ESP Subject
3. Making Contextualized and Localized Daily Lesson Log
4. Demonstration Teaching
5. Presentation of Output and Open Forum

II. Overview/Objectives
This training aims to:
A. Discuss the concept of D.O No. 42 s. 2016
B. Crafting of Instructional Materials
C. Gather data and feedbacks of the difficulties encountered by the teachers in
teaching EsP.
D. Design localized and contextualized lessons based on the societal problems.
III. Methodology
A live-in 1-day training/seminar. Participants are required to bring K–12 Curriculum
Guide of Edukasyon sa Pagpapakatao. Trainers are expected to prepare PowerPoint
presentation and activities of the assigned topics for thediscussion.
