How to calibrate IBP with Medex IBP kit.

2. Note (Before calibration)

Based on serial number of BM5, there are two set values for calibration of IBP as below.
Refer to the table below.

3. Calibration Procedure

3-1. Step1 – IBP ZEROING.

1. Connect the MX961Z42 and I-MX960. (called IBP kit)

2. Connect the IBP kit to BM5.
3. Go to IBP parameter.
4. Select ZERO ART to perform IBP ZEROING.
5. IBP ZEROING message appears and disappears soon.

3-2. Step2 - Adjustment of IBP1 value

1. Press the 100mmHg button from the I-MX960.

2. Check if the IBP value is under tolerance. (its margin of error is ±1)
• Refer to [Table 1] above.

3. If it is out of margin, select setup icon ,

Go to MAKER SERVICE -> Input password “ DD-MM “.
e.g) 15-JUL-2010 = 1507
4. Select CALIBRATE AND TEST -> Input password “1001”.
5. Press the 100mmHg button from the I-MX960.
6. Select IBP SETUP -> IBP1 CAL. TRANSDUC.
7. Adjust the value of IBP by turning the Knob until it is 132 or 100mmHg according to the serial
number of BM5.
8. Quit the menu and check if it is 132 or 100mmHg again.

3-3. Step3 – The adjustment of IBP2 is the same as IBP1 described above.
