CHAPTER III: RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

RESEARCH DESIGN
This study will be using descriptive method of research. The researcher’s general
purpose is to know the factors that should be considered in starting a business. This study
will use a phenomenological approach in which the researchers will interview the
respondents. The respondents will answer the questions based on their experiences.

RESEARCH LOCALE
POPULATIONS AND SAMPLE / SAMPLING TECHNIQUE
RESEARCH INSTRUMENT
The researchers designed a one on one interview as one of the data-collection
instruments for this study. Business owners in CAMANAVA area are to interview. The
interview questions aim to gather information concerning the factors that is effective in
establishing business and other learnings in handling business that could be adopted by the
researchers and beneficiaries of this study. The researchers designed a semi-structured
questionnaire for the one on one interview that will be recorded via audio or voice,
depending on the choice of the participants. The semi-structured questionnaires are about
the factors that the participants can give in establishing business and there will be a follow
up questions depending on the answer of the participants.

DATA COLLECTION PROCEDURE


The data gathering procedure will immediately start after the adviser’s approval for
the proposal and its instrument preparation. After being approved, a requesting letter to
gather the needed data will be presented to the locale of the study. The questionnaire to be
answer will be tested for the validity before being answered by the target population of the
study. The respondents will be informed about the study. This is to ensure the freedom of
choice to voluntarily answer the question that will ask about the study. The respondent’s
consent will be secured. The researcher will ask questions to the participants. The
participants are free on sharing experiences related to the study. After the interview has
done, the answer of the participants will be transcribed for the compilation, interpretation
and analyzation.

DATA ANALYSYS PROCEDURE


This study will use a phenomenological strategy to explain the business owners’
perception about the said factors and how did it make a big difference in their field of
business. In that way, the researchers could elaborate the effects of these factors that could
possibly help the business management students to plan more carefully and help them cope
up with the system and ways of the business.
