Hamid EZ-ZAHRAOUY is a Professor of Physics at FSR since 1995. He received his Doctor of State in Statistical Physics from UM5 in 1994. He has supervised 15 PhD theses and 30 ongoing theses. His research interests include modeling and simulations in new materials, nanomaterials, spintronics, surfaces, interfaces, traffic modeling and complex networks. He has over 160 publications, organized 15 conferences, and has international collaborations with researchers in the USA, UK, France and other countries.

Responsible and / or participant in about ten national and international projects Founding member of LMPHE; Director of the Laboratory of Condensed Matter and Interdisciplinary Sciences (LAMCSCI); Founding member and member of the secretariat of the MACOMS competence center; Founding member and member of the Executive Board of the Moroccan Society of Statistical Physics; Associate member of the International Center for Theoretical Physics Trieste Italy (1996-2011); Associate researcher at CNRS-France, University Joseph Fourier in 2005. Advisory Board Editor with: "Moroccan Journal Of Condensed Matter" and "Bentham Open surface science journal" Author of more than 160 indexed articles published in some twenty scientific journals. Author of 6 chapters books including 4 with the NOVA SCIENCE PUBLISHER, NEW YORK; Organizer and member of the scientific committee of fifteen national and international conferences. Chairman of the "1st IMSEGEC" in Ifran 10-12 May 2017.
