What is Oracle® Data Integrator Adapter for


Hyperion® Financial Management?
The Oracle® Data Integrator Adapter for Hyperion® Financial Management enables you to
perform the following tasks using Oracle Data Integrator:

• Load metadata and data into Oracle’s Hyperion Financial Management applications.
®
• Extract metadata and data from Oracle’s Hyperion Financial Management applications.
®
• Consolidate data in Oracle’s Hyperion Financial Management applications.
Review this information thoroughly before installing the knowledge adapter.

What is New in Oracle® Data Integrator Adapter


for Hyperion® Financial Management?
Oracle® Data Integrator Adapter for Hyperion® Financial Management 10.1.3.5.5 introduces

support for 64 bit for supported platforms of Oracle’s Hyperion Financial Management.

Installation and Upgrade


Please refer the readme included with this patch release for more information on installing and
upgrading Oracle Data Integrator.

Prerequisites
• Oracle Data Integrator 10.1.3.5 or later must be installed.

• The environment variable Path must include the Oracle Data Integrator
installation/driver directory.
• The Hyperion Financial Management client must be installed on any machine that will use
the Oracle® Data Integrator Adapter for Hyperion® Financial Management. For example,
the machine that is using the ODI Designer, or any machine that an ODI Agent is running
on that will execute an interface that utilizes the Hyperion Financial Management
Knowledge Module.
• If you want to use the Oracle Data Integrator Adapters for Hyperion Financial Management
on a 64-bit platform, the following prerequisites must be met:
o A 64-bit JVM is installed
o ODI must use this 64-bit JVM. The ODI_JAVA_HOME environment variable
should point to this JVM location.

This release of Oracle Data Integrator Adapter for Hyperion Financial Management supports these
operating systems:

Windows 32-bit
• Windows XP
• Windows Server 2000 (SP4)
• Windows Server 2003 (SP1)

Windows 64-bit
• Windows Server 2003 (SP1)

Compatible Software
This release of Oracle® Data Integrator Adapter for Hyperion® Financial Management 10.1.3.5.5
is compatible with these releases of Oracle Data Integrator and Financial Management:
• Oracle Data Integrator 10.1.3.5.5 and later
• 32 Bit Oracle Hyperion Financial Management
o Financial Management 9.2.0.3 and later
• 64 Bit Oracle Hyperion Financial Management
o Financial Management 11.1.1.1 and later

Installing Oracle® Data Integrator Adapter for Hyperion®


Financial Management
The updates to the Oracle® Data Integrator Adapter for Hyperion® Financial Management
10.1.3.5.5 are included in the Oracle Data Integrator 10.1.3.5.5 patch release. Please refer to the
readme included with this patch release for more information on installing and upgrading Oracle
Data Integrator.

Using Oracle® Data Integrator Adapter for Hyperion®


Financial Management with 64 Bit Oracle Hyperion
Financial Management Client
To use the Oracle® Data Integrator Adapter for Hyperion® Financial Management 10.1.3.5.5 on a
64 bit platform where the 64 bit Oracle Hyperion Financial Management client is installed the
following steps must be completed:
1. Rename HFMDriver.dll as HFMDriver32.dll
2. Rename HFMDriver64.dll as HFMDriver.dll
Note: To use the Oracle® Data Integrator Adapter for Hyperion® Financial Management
10.1.3.5.5 on a 32 bit platform where the 32 bit Oracle Hyperion Financial Management client
is installed no changes are required.

Issues and Workarounds


In the Operator, on the Execution tab, the statistics on Insert, Update, Delete, and Errors are
shown as zero for all Financial Management loads and extracts. To see the correct statistics on
success and failed rows:
1. Expand the session that loads data into the Financial Management application data or
extracts data from the application.
2. Open Report Statistics.
3. Click the Execution tab. A stack trace is displayed that shows the statistics.
