Cables shall be manufactured using wire rope with crimped
button connection.

0030 W Adherence Test of Zinc Coating Shall be performed per ISO 2232, Annex B., or equivalent
standard. (note 2)

0040 W Weight of Zinc Coating Per 74-SAMSS-Test conducted as per ISO 2232 or equivalent.
(note 2)

0062 R a)Bending & Torsion test As per 74-SAMSS-001.

0070 R b) Tensile Test Shall be performed per API 9A, or equivalent standard.

0080 H c) Breaking Test Shall be performed per API 9A, or equivalent standard, in
accordance with table 1 of 74-SAMSS-001. (note 3)

0082 H d) Proof/Elongation Test Shall be made on the complete cable assemblies where the
load shall be 50% of the cable minimum breaking strength as
specified in table 1 of 74-SAMSS-001.

0090 W Crimped Button Test Verify that button does not move over the cable, while stress is
applied on the button. Limit of movement as specified by cable
manufacturer and/or P.O.

0100 W Threads Must be inspected for conformity to the standard specified in the
Purchase Order description.

0110 H Visual and Dimensional Inspection

0120 W Packing and Shipping Cables must be supplied with protection against rough handling
and corrosion.

0130 R Certification Documentation All certification documentation for each individual cable must be
attached to it.

0140 W Marking Each cable must have marking per 74-SAMSS-001.
