Thank you sir Salahudin!

Greetings

-Good morning, Happy Valentines Day!

(Pampa good vibes: I hope that celebration of the Hearts Day.

Everybody already believes in forever) May forever ba? Ok just
keep your answer!

At the outset, I would like say that you very much to the Senior High School Family,
headed by Mam Evangeline pallarcon for having me as your speaker for today.
Despite the fact that I am clueless however, I hope that my presence would add the
color to the celebration.

Actually, I am a busy man, I am a law student, of course my heavy work in the office
and being a bread winner in the family. However, I chose to give up my other
commitments because I know that my presence here is more important.

I would like to congratulate the SHS Family and at the same, I would like to say thank
you for helping the administration by doing your respective tasks efficiently and
effectively.

Body of the Speech-

Talk about myself

- As mentioned by Sir Salahudin earlier, when I was a student like you, I used to
be a dreamer like you. But of course I did just dream, I coupled it with
hardwork and perseverance.
- Being a govt ward for 12 years and at a young age was never a joke.
- Especially when you are still at point of your life where you are always longing
for your mother’s love and care.
- During my graduation in hyskul, there were lines which I uttered which are
unforgettable for me. Of course, I would like to take this opportunity to say
thank you to mam Vangie Pallarcon for enhancing my sppech at that time.
- Some of the lines I uttered at that time were;
1. I went to school without baon on my pocket
2. I would be lucky enough if could have 5 pesos allowance in one month;
3. However, what’s in my mind at that time was that, every step I take, I am
getting closer to my dream. Grabeh…ang hirap nun, I couldn’t even
imagine how I was able to surpassed those trials.
4. However, things got better when I was in college.
Allowance in the ROTC.

I am sharing that part of my speech so you could have a glance of my life as a student
and eventually, learn from it or relate from it.

Significance of the Program

- It allows every student or every member of the SHS family to not only to
socialize but also to commemorate the existence of the department and
celebrate every achievement it has attained from the time it was created by
law to present.
- It is also a time of recognition of the students’ achivements. It is being
manifested in different ways. Like winning in the different contests that you
have prior to this culmination.
- For others, since your celebration falls on the celebration of the hearts’ day, I
am sure that some have found already their forever because of this event. For
those who have already special some even prior to the SHS Day, I am sure that
after the Valentines Day or the SHS Founding Anniversary, their love for each
other developed even more.
- Above all, the students and faculty of the SHS for sure have gained confidence
and enjoyment in the entire celebration and I firmly believe that the same is
the most important purpose of this event.

Significance and relevance of the Theme

- Your theme for today is very much timely and relevant. I would to commend
whoever is behind the crafting of this theme, for brilliantly crafting the same
for this purpose. Why I said timely, it is for the reason that, nowadays, the role
of mellinials in community or even in nation building is vital. However, they
cannot perform their respective roles if they have the right attitude, skills, and
knowleddge.
- Now let us go to them one by one.
According to John C. Marwell, “People hear your words but they feel your
attitude.” We can often see, hear or observe persons who are very much good
in talking but their actions speak quite from the words they utter. My belove
students and SHS Family, what I am trying to say is attitude is everything.
Most of the things can be learned but attitude is within. Ika nga, aanhin mo
ang bahay na bato kung ang nakatira ay kwago.

Skills… I know that even an Elementary Pupil can widely explain the word
skills. We all know that in our present time, most often than not, people who
are skilled are at an advantage compared to others. But no worries because as
they always say, skills can be learned. It can be acquired by training or
constant practice. So, if you want to be skilful, better do the things I have
previously mentioned. Later on, when you finished your studies, you will be at
a better place in terms of applying a job if you have skills. I tell you, now is the
right time for you to develop your skills. Do not wait for college.
Knowledge. According to the Ka Ernie Baron, “the Pinoy Walking
Encyclopedia”, knowledge is power. True enough, if we have knowledge on
something, then there is a greater chance of accomplishing or performing it.
As an old saying goes, if you can imagine it, you can create it. So it all boils
down to having knowledge. Howver, we have to be very careful, little
knowledge can be very dangerous.

Having said that, these three (3) are some of the best weapon that we need to
have in order for us to have an impact in the community. The community
needs straight individuals. When I say straight, I am not trying to be gender
biased. But I am referring to individual who have good attitude, full of skills
that they can use in a good way and of course knowledge, so that they can do
whatever task is given to them beyond what is expected. As I said, your theme
is intelligently crafted, because nowadays, the world needs innovative
millineals for them to help in molding and shaping the future. How? Go back
to the three words indicated above. So if you want to have forever, like live a
better life, better embrace those three.

I just do hope that each one of you will internalize your theme just like how
you accepted your love ones into your life. This celebration makes sense. May
this be a start of your good journey to better life forever.
