PATH TO WISDOM – 2019

Sri Pangnananda National School

Message from the Principal……,

With great pleasure I convey this message to the academic publication “Path to
Wisdom – 2019” issued by Sri Pangnananda National School.

Sri Pangnananda National School makes a great contribution to the nation by

producing well-balanced personalities. An academic publication of this nature
enhances creativity of our students. This is undoubtedly one of the most
significant initiatives taken by the teachers of English to provide a platform for
our students to show their creativity.

I appreciate the students who provided articles, poems, stories, drawings, etc
to the magazine and the Editorial Committee for maintaining the accuracy and
consistency of the magazine.

I firmly believe that this magazine will foster knowledge, attitudes and skills o
our students.

Message from the Vice Principal……,

Language is the most powerful tool that the man discovered in the human
civilization.

Proficiency in several languages gives the individual the potential to reach the
excellence in the society. In the current Sri Lankan context, proficiency in all
three languages immensely contributes to the national reconciliation.

I highly appreciate the efforts of students and teahers of English in lunching

the Magazine “Path to Wisdom”.

Thilak Fernando
Message from the Editors……,

We take great pleasure in the release of the Magazine “Path to Wisdom – 2019”.
As teachers of English, our main aim is to produce the most efficient
knowledgeable and flexible citizens to the nation.

This magazine has created a slot for them to share their knowledge and
experiences with others and to give expression to the artistic feelings of the
most creative among the students. Moreover, this provides them with ample
opportunities to improve their references and writing skills.

On the part of teachers of English, this magazine is a great success as it makes

way for imparting their knowledge and skills. It enhances the sense of morality
and aesthetic taste which the academic atmosphere prevalent in the classroom
with its tight schedule does not make the way for.

It is our duty to acknowledge those who have contributed to this academic

endeavour in numerous ways. We place on record our sincere gratitude to the
Principal, Mrs. D.M. Edirimanna; our Vice Principal, Mr. Thilak Fernando for
their direction and supervision throughout this work. We also appreciate all the
teachers of English and the students who contributed to this endeavour.

He made our lives a heaven

When we cry he taught us to smile

When we lost our hopes

He showed another path of success

When we were tired he held our hands

to make us strong

When we smiled he also joined

with us to smile

He always smiles even though

there are so many troubles behind him

He is always strong even though

he feels tired.

He protects us like a shadow.

He nourishes us like a river

He lights us like a candle

He loves us like an ocean

Our faces are full of joy

Our eyes are full of goals

Our hearts are full of love,

Who is behind this?

He is behind this.
Who is he?

He is a lovely person and a hero.

A hero…..

Yes, a great hero

Who is he?

He is our father…..

No one can take his part in our lives

No one can act his role in our lives

No one can be like him

He is amazing

He is perfect

He made our lives a heaven

He won our hearts

We love you a lot

Father…..

Thank you for everything
