V. NARRATIVE REPORT IN THE CONDUCT OF TRAINING

In consonance to Executive Order 273 known as “Approving and Adopting
the Philippines Plan for Gender Responsive Development”, Domingo P. Boquiren
National High School implemented its development program for the senior citizens
to recognize their special roles in nation building. In coordination with Umando
Barangay Council, the Senior Citizens of Brgy Umando enthusiastically attended
the school’s School-Based Gender and Development Seminar for Senior Citizens.
The topics discussed like the Benefits and Privileges of Senior Citizens, Ten
Commandments of Senior Citizens and Healthy Ageing were timely to their needs
and well-being. They listened attentively and actively participated in the entirety
of the seminar. They even asked for copies of the topics discussed for them to
review at home, and the school happily agreed. The senior citizens happily exerted
their energy with the Zumba prepared by the technical officials of the program.
Refreshments and lunch were timely given. Prizes to the winners of the different
games played were also given which made them feel more special that day. Some
 of them even don’t want to go home after the seminar. Their thanks were
unending which made the teachers happier and more thrilled to serve. All in all,
the event for this day was a success.
