INTRODUCTION

Background of the Study

Today's generation born on technology and with an internet. Internet is a

social media where many people using it, and by this people can easily get

some information of what would they want to gather, internet also help people

to communicate with their love ones who are far away and it makes distance

bearable. But there are some effects of the internet that may not good to all the

people who are using it most specially to the student it can affect their

development of learning.

Students should give importance to know the effects of internet towards

their Development of Learning. This study can widen the students mind and

also can widen their horizon in life especially in their Development of Learning,

students cannot seem to have a piece of equipment when they did not know

the effects of negative and positive part of their life.

The Development of Learning of the students varies on how would they

embrace the importance of their life and of their studies because it is the ship

of a person on how they discovered on there life to do something and

describes work with students and staff to develop academic practices, with a

main focus on students developing academic practices in higher education.

According to Hilsdon (2011;14) defines learning development as, "a

complex set of multi-disciplinary and cross disciplinary academic roles and

functions, involving teaching, tutoring, research, and the design and production

of learning materials, as well as involvement in staff development policy-

making and other consultative activities.

This statement embodies the purpose of our research that there is a

need to conduct this study to help students give importance to know what are

the effects of the internet they need to have a multi disciplinary or cross

disciplinary this study would really be beneficial to many.

Students should have and be a disciplinary of their own self in terms of

using internet likewise to their studies. They should have confidence and have

trust to their self so that they can do things and perform well in studying with an

internet of them, students should look forward to their parents sacrifices that

they would do well and not be so selfish, and should think deeply when there

engage by getting addicted through internet. Because internet is always be

their, when you wanted to leave it then you can leave it as a trash and it

wouldn't easily be disappear, but when you leave your gracious and wonderful

future? It wouldn't wait you, unless you will be the one to find that gracious and

wonderful future just to have it back so that your life will back into a normal and

happy.

So don't be selfish and don't ever exchange or switch your future by

something else. And don't ever leave it like a trash just to focus to internet by

achieving what you wanted to do, like to have more followers in Fb. IG. or

TikTok and wasting your time of that instead of focusing to your studies. Using

internet is not bad, but you need to know your limitations, think macro know

what are the different kinds of effect of the internet to your health and to your

development of learning.

Internet is everywhere also education is everywhere but always

remember people learn using internet through education, because you didn't

know how to read without education, people did not know use internet without

knowing it first and reading some terms and people do that through education,

and students should look forward of that and never exchange their

development of learning to internet, therefore education is the most important.

Statement of the Problem

This research generally aims to answer the question; what positive and

negative effect does internet have on students development of learning?

Specifically this study aims to answer the following question;

1. How was the internet affects to students development of learning, in the

following interests?

(1.1) To be productive;

(1.2) Being efficient;

(1.3) To be proficient; and

(1.4) To be contingent through internet.

Significance of the Study

The findings of this research will benefits individuals in many ways.

Students. This study will benefit to students we're they can look forward

that they should give importance to know the effects of internet towards their

development of learning.

Teachers. Findings of this result may encourage teachers to look how is

the development of learning of the students going through that in other way

students using internet; may change the teaching policy of the teachers that

they should not be focus on what would they expect to the students, because

YES SHS students are in high level it doesn't mean that majority of them

looking the importance of their development of learning.

Parents. This may help the parents to know how would the exact ways

by parenting good of their children, by looking through what would they do so

that their children may not focus on the internet.

Conceptual Framework

The researchers conceptual framework picture out how the study flows

by determining what are the different effects of the internet to students of

grade-11 GAS in Felix Caneja Lafuente National High School. From left it is the

main topic and it has an arrow going up it shows the interests of the students

to internet with an arrow from left to right which is to determine which it can

affect to students development of learning. Finally an arrow from the main topic

and an arrow from which it can affect to students going to what are the effects

of the internet to the students.

Scope and Limitations of the Study

This study only focused on determining the effects of internet to student

development of learning of grade-11 GAS in FCLNHS.

This study was conducted at Felix Caneja Lafuente National High

School Caneja, Calubian, Leyte. During the school year 2019-2020. The

respondents of study where the Grade-11 students of FCLNHS.

Definition of Terms

In order to have a better understanding what is all about our research is,

by defining it in two ways connotatively which is our own understanding and

denotatively which is definition in dictionary.

Internet. Internet is all about social media, where people can get some

knowledge and can easily get answers.

Development Learning. Learning development describes work with

students and staff to develop academic practices, with a main focus on

students developing academic practices in higher education.
