 Analyze art elements and principles in the production of work following the style of Renaissance and Baroque
arts;
 Use artworks to derive the traditions/history of Renaissance and Baroque period;
 Identify distinct characteristics of arts during the Renaissance and Baroque Period and;
 Identify representative artists from Renaissance and Baroque periods.

What have you learnt from this class? I’ve learned that line, shape, space, color, value, and
texture are important elements of arts that help express
feelings, mood, and meaning through art symbols.
I’ve learned that art is very important in the promotion of
cultural pride and unity.
I’ve learned that the Baroque style was brought by the
Spanish and Portuguese to the Philippines where it became
the prominent style of building for large and small churches.
D. Application
Day 2: Continuation of group activity (group reporting)
After the activity let the students watch a short clip about
the lives of Leonardo Da Vinci. Let them do this activity.

Make a graphical representation of Renaissance and


Baroque period and the known artists with their contributions
during the periods. You can use any graphic organizer to
clearly connect your ideas.

Day 3-4:
Activity: “Royal Selfie”
Materials: picture, pencil, ¼ illustration board
Procedure:
1. Bring your own picture in class.
2. Draw a self-portrait on the illustration board wearing
Renaissance costume.
3. Enhance your drawing by putting accessories on your
portrait like headdress, long hair, etc.
