below. use manipulatives in a fashion similar to the
Pizza Please! activity. Students draw a card
and then set up and solve the equation.

was created for addition and one for
subtraction bingo. Students would draw a
card, solve equation using any manipulative,
and cross off boxes as done in regular bingo.

Right: Fraction Land; Students pick up a


card from the Fraction Land card stack.
They may use manipulatives or any
other method to find the answer to the
problem they have chosen (problems
include word problems and various
representations of addition and
subtraction sentences). If they get the
question right, they move their game
piece ahead two spaces.
