Registering NetSupport Manager and NetSupport School

Summary
This document shows you how to license a single machine or group of machines with NetSupport
Manager or NetSupport School. These instructions also apply to registration of trial/evaluation
versions.

Pre-Requisite
An installation of NetSupport Manger Control or NetSupport School Tutor, a copy of your
purchased NSM or NSS license file. If you do not have a copy of your license file, please contact
your account manager or sales@netsupport-inc.com.

Details for a Single Machine, Control or Tutor

1. Browse to C:\Program Files\NetSupport\NetSupport Manager
Or
C:\Program Files\NetSupport\NetSupport School

2. Double Click on the file called PCILIC.EXE and populate all the General Tab details
 3. Select Generate
4. You will get a report that the license file has been successfully created and that the Output
is NSM.LIC or NSS.LIC.

Note: The license details need to be entered into the PCILIC.EXE exactly how they are displayed
on the license sheet as the software is CASE Sensitive.

Details for a Group of Machines

In order to install the license on multiple Client machines, generate the license key on one
machine and then use our Deploy Utility to distribute this license file to the other machines
that have NetSupport Manager or School installed. For details on how to do this please follow
these instructions:

1. Go into Start > Programs > NetSupport > NetSupport Manager Deploy or NetSupport
School Deploy
2. Highlight the Clients you wish to deploy to
3. Right Click on these Clients and select Deploy > NetSupport License File
4. Select Properties
5. Browse to the NSM.LIC or NSS.LIC file (normally in C:\Program Files\NetSupport NetSupport
Manager or C:\Program Files\NetSupport\NetSupport School)
6. Select Ok
7. Select Deploy

Note: It is only possible to Deploy NetSupport Software to NT based machines
