ABSTRACT.
In recent years educational public policies in Colombia have
adopted pedagogical strategies to address the diversity of education in
the country, that is why we talk about processes such as educational
inclusion that seeks to implement strategies to achieve effective
inclusion in the classroom. In this way, this research aimed to establish
the effect of a self-pity program based on acceptance and commitment
therapy, for students in an inclusive education context in vulnerable
condition and with learning difficulties. We worked from a multiple case
design with five cases. In the first phase, the intervention protocol was
designed, consisting of five sessions that mainly work on recognition of
emotions, acceptance, awareness of the present moment and defusion.
In the second phase, pre-test measurements were taken through the
self-pity scale and the questionnaire of five facets of mindfulness, in the
third phase the protocol was applied and post-test measurements were

taken with the same instruments. The results allow identifying an
increase in self-pity, in the processes of full attention and acceptance
positions in all the participants, which allows considering the viability of
the protocol as an effective strategy to strengthen the processes of
educational inclusion.
