System (LMS) Study Guide

Introduction
Welcome to San Francisco Institute of Science and Technology (SFIST) Learning management
system(LMS) Study guide. This study guide is use to guide the learners in using blended learning
approach.
Blended learning system approach is a new methodology in teaching in technical education
in line with 21st century skills and industry revolution 4.0. The learning approach has two stage
online learning and face to face learning approach.
This Blended learning is guided with LMS software using server to client online learning
system. SFIST use Moodle LMS system an open source LMS solution installed in a dedicated
server installed in SFIST. This system is accessible online (outside SFIST) or offline (inside SFIST)
using any web browser in HTTPS or secure hypertext transport protocol. The official server is
https://sfistlms.t28.net
The LMS system is designed by Joel L. Navarro and the contents are created by Joel L.
Navarro, Marlyn B. Brigino and Lanie B. Reverente.

I. How to Open an Existing Account in SFIST Learning Management System.
1. Open any Internet Browser (Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome and Opera Browser is preferred
browser.) In address bar type http://sfistlms.t28.net . An error will display just click advanced button
if you are using google chrome.

And Click Proceed to sfistlms.t28.net (unsafe)

If you use opera browser click Help me understand.

And Click Proceed to sfistlms.t28.net (unsafe)

If you are using Mozilla Firefox click advanced button

And Click add exception

And click confirm security exception

Now the dash board of SFIST LMS will display.

It is presume that you have your account that you create when you took your pre-test. Login your
account by clicking log-in

Based on the result of your pre-test your trainer will enroll you to the first four core competencies of
TM.
1. Plan Training Session
2. Supervised Work-based Training
3. Maintain training Facilities
4. Utilize Electronic Media in Facilitating Training.

II. How to Use LMS in Plan Training Session

Plan Training Session has four (4) required output to submit:

1. Data Gathering Instrument


2. Training Needs Analysis (TNA) Assignment
3. Session Plan Assignment
4. CBLM and Assessment Tools Assignment

Note: You cannot access any module if you are not enrolled by your trainers in the different
competency
A. How to submit output in Data Gathering Instrument
1. Open the Data Gathering assignment link

2. Read the instruction stated in the activity sheet. Look for the hyperlink for the templates and
samples needed in the activates

3. Make your Data gathering instrument based on your qualification and submit it to the LMS so
that your teacher can check your document.

3. Make your TNA based on your qualification and submit it to the LMS so that your teacher can
check your document.

E. How to Take Computer-based Assessment - in plan training session you are required to take
institutional assessment after submitting the different output needed in this module. You need to
receive at least 75% grades on Data gathering, TNA and Session Plan in order to take computer based
assessment

Computer based assessment cannot be


access unless your teacher give you grades
on Data gathering, TNA and Session Plan

Computer-Based Assessment is accessible


which mean you are ready to take the
test.
The computer-based assessment is time based assessment it is 35 item and the passing score is 20. You
need to take this exam for 20 min. and you are given maximum of five attempts.

Once you exceed to five attempts you need to consult your trainer to give you more attempts. But your
trainer will require you to undergo review before adding more attempts.

III. How to Use LMS in Supervised Work-Based learning

Supervised Work-Based learning has seven (7) required output to submit:

1. Prepare and Submit Training Needs Analysis (TNA) Checklist for SWBT Assignment
2. Prepare and Submit Training Plan Assignment
3. Prepare and Submit Trainee Progress Sheet Assignment
4. Prepare and Submit Trainee’s Record Book (TRB) Assignment
5. Prepare and Submit Training Session Evaluation Form Assignment
6. Prepare and Submit List of Tools, Equipment and Materials Assignment
7. Prepare and Submit Trainer’s Self-Evaluation Form Assignment

You need to submit all of this
assignment before you can
take the computer based
assessment

1. Read the instruction of seven assignment sheets and follow the procedures on how to make the
different output. You need to complete this 7 output one at a time. Look for the hyperlink on the
instruction to download the needed document or templates or sample files as a guide in making
your output. you need also to watch the video attach on the documents.

2. Submit the seven assignment one at a time in document (*.doc or *.docx) format except for
assignment no. 4 Prepare and Submit Trainee’s Record Book (TRB) Assignment which is in
Publisher format (*.pub or *.pubx). On the lower bottom click add submission.

After clicking scroll down the page and drag and drop your file to the submission area and click save
changes

Wait for the grades given by your teacher and proceed to the next assignment sheet until you finish the
seven. Note if the grade is 75% it means that you need to revise your output. To revised your output just
click the edit submission and download the file to view the comments of your trainers added to the
documents. And if your grade is 89% above your document is ready for printing. Ask for the instruction
on how to print the document.
3. And lastly take the computer based assessment, in supervised work-based learning you are required to
take institutional assessment after submitting the different output needed in this module. You need to
receive at least 75% grades on Prepare and Submit Training Needs Analysis (TNA) Checklist for SWBT,
Prepare and Submit Training Plan, Prepare and Submit Trainee Progress Sheet and Prepare and Submit
Trainee’s Record Book (TRB)

Computer based assessment cannot be
access unless your teacher give you grades
on the four prerequisite assignments

Computer-based assessment is accessible


which mean you are ready to take the
test.

The examination is 17 item and the passing score is 14. You need to take this exam for 16 min. and you
are given maximum of five attempts.

Once you exceed to five attempts you need to consult your trainer to give you more attempts. But your
trainer will require you to undergo review before adding more attempts.

IV. How to Use LMS in Maintain Training Facilities (MTF)

In MTF you need to prepare maintenance forms and workshop layout save in document format. (doc and
docx only. Just look for the hyperlink for the templates and sample files. Follow the instruction stated in each
documents and submit the required documents at the bottom of the page.

Submit the assignment in document (*.doc or *.docx) format. On the lower bottom click add submission.

And if your grade is 89% above your document is ready for printing. Ask for the instruction on how to print
the document.

Download you file here and open to view the
comments made by your trainer and delete
the file. Re-upload the new edited
files(follow the procedures in submitting
new files).

And lastly take the computer based assessment, in supervised work-based learning you are required to
take institutional assessment after submitting the different output needed in this module. You need to
receive at least 75% grades on the maintenance form and workshop layout in order for you the take the
computer based assessment.

You are now ready for computer based assessment

MTF exam is 30 item and the passing score is 15. You need to take this exam for 20 min. and you
are given maximum of five attempts.

advise you to review and read the learning materials.
