Elements of fiction

Plot- A plot is one of the most important parts of a story, and has many different purposes. Firstly, the plot
focuses attention on the important characters and their roles in the story. It motivates the characters to affect
the story, and connects the events in an orderly manner. The plot creates a desire for the reader to go on
reading by absorbing them in the middle of the story, ensuring they want to know what happens next.

Example: Elizabeth and her are you, unmarried, poor women in England. An bachelor moves into the
neighborhood and falls for Elizabeth, But he fight against it.

Points of view- POV determines things like tense and how much the reader gets to see. It is the angle of
considering things, which shows us the opinion or feelings of the individuals involved in a situation.which
readers follow the story's plot, meet its characters, discover its setting, and enter into its relationships,
emotions, and conflicts. Point of view allows readers to experience the story as it unfolds. which readers follow

Setting- is the time and place (or when and where) of the story. It’s a literary element of literature used in

Conflict - the result of competing desires or the presence of obstacles that need to be overcomenecessary to

Theme- Theme is defined as a main idea, which may be stated directly or indirectlyTheme is an important
element of fiction, but not a necessary element. The theme of a story is its central idea. The theme is not the
subject of the story. The writer incorporates the theme into the story from the subject. Sometimes the fiction
writer has a specific theme or idea in mind before crafting a short story or novel. Other times the theme
emerges as the fiction writer constructs the story.

Character- Characters in fiction can have many roles and purposes, all of them dictated by the writer's intent
and style, working together to intricately move the plot forwarcharacters have long dominated the reception of

pauses and natural rhythmical phrases, as compared to the artificial constraints of normal poetry.commonly
