Duties: Delegating responsibilities to team of engineers.
Rack and stack new switches and servers.
Decommissioning of redundant hardware and cabling.
Asset management training, provided to all engineering staff working onsite. Updating of database
with all new hardware etc.
Installation of new infrastructure CAT 7/OM3(+) & OM4, patching and cable management within
the DC environment.
Preparation of patching schedules & labelling, implement change requests/BSPAARS for access
to data halls.
Liaise with 3rd party suppliers/vendors and QA of all works.
Collating information for the daily/weekly reports.
Method Statements and Safe Systems of Work prepared daily in accordance with the operations
of IT Facilities department.
Compliance with Client, Manufacturer and Support Services processes, Inc QA standards.
Provide quotations to the client for new materials and services that Bailey Teswaine would
complete under the full project management role within the current RFP
All other aspects of BAU work within a DC environment.

I have Knowledge of the following applications; Remedy, DB Symphony for Break-Fix/Incident


reporting, Asset Point application, for asset management in association with IT
change/transformation of events within the MER’s.

When Data Centre Manager is not onsite, (evenings & weekends) I am the 1 st line support in
escalation process for the site. This is an open contract based assignment.

project was for a previous client of my Company, (H.I.Co.UK).

Mechanical fitter. To build and assemble boosters and vacuum pumps for the semi-conductor and flat
panel industries. The tasks involved building boosters from component level to assembly of
pumps & boosters incorporating the water cooling and electrical systems to systemised units
ready for soak testing over a period of 4/5 hours. Suggested new methods to streamline
manufacturing processes and reduce costs. Trained and supervised employees / contractors in
the systemising and finishing off areas. Provide a new format for operations/care sheets for the IH
systems line, by adding more emphasis to the Health and Safety aspects of the tasks, including
the use of various lifting equipment.

Given responsibility to prepare an offsite warehouse for new stock, in addition to keeping these
and current stocks at pre-arranged levels for re-ordering to proceed without delay. Project
managed the warehouse security by way of CCTV and alarm system installations. Co-ordinated
the utilities companies in delivery dates and schedules. Induction training was provided, for new
employees and contract workers when attending the offsite warehouse.
