TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION

Incidents or cases that happen in a place is to brought up to the Peacekeeping

segment of the Barangay in order for the dispute to be settled. Case or incident filed is
important to be kept in a record while still fresh in the mind of those who witnessed the
event. This information is useful when dealing with civil liability issues stemming from
the incident and filing of formal cases to Katarungang Pambarangay which is the initial
proceeding at the barangay level, a prerequisite in order to file a formal case to the City
Fiscal’s Office for criminal liabilities.

Criminal Case Record management provides a systematic, organized and efficient

way of storing and managing record of cases that plays an important role for future
retrieval of data as case is on-going process. An effective Criminal case record
management, allow off-line case filing, allow immediate access to documents during
trials and avoid counterfeit. Furthermore, the monitoring of the incidents, including the
time and place when and where the incident occurred allows the officials to do better
decision making when it comes on securing the respective barangay and promulgating
peace and order on the entire place.

OBJECTIVE

GENERAL OBJECTIVE

The main objective of the proponents is to develop a Criminal Case Record

Management System for Barangay Sta. Lucia in Quezon City.

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVE

1. To develop a system that records complaint incidents at the BPSO.

2. To design a Case Record Management System intended solely for the Barangay
Public Safety.

3. To design a system that generates complaint reports of criminal liabilities.

4. To design a system that provides a real-time overview of compliant incidents.

5. To develop a system that records the location of the complaint incidents.

6. To develop a system that retrieves information of the residents from the module.

SCOPE AND DELIMITATION OF THE STUDY

SCOPE

1. The system can record the information of the complaint.

2. The system can view the percentage of the street incidents.

3. The system can generate a complaint reports (Subpoena).

4. The system can show the percentage of the street population.

5. The system can view the total number of streets.

6. The system can view the total number of complaints in the barangay.

7. The system can determine the most populated street in the barangay.

8. The system can determine the most complaint street in the barangay.

DELIMITATION:

The system does not cover:

1. Dissemination of resident information to the complainants.

2. Automated SMS notification and emails of complaint reports.

3. Digital signature of the complainant.

HOW DO YOU INTEND TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM?

SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY

The Barangay is the smallest division in the Philippines. The proponents aim to
improve the process of recording and monitoring to lessen the exerted time and effort in
doing the manual process. Also, by developing a Criminal Case Record System, it will
help to decongest regular courts and will work as an alternative for disputing resolution
of conflicts in a community-based mechanism and to render a fair and reasonable
decision through the arbitration process.

TARGET USERS / BENEFICIARIES

Initiates the objectives of providing the target user with customized and powerful
Complaint the process management system and this system will provide better
prospective for the enhancement of organization regarding the system are the officials
of Barangay Santa Lucia, Quezon City and both the residents and the officials are the
beneficiaries of the Criminal case record management system for barangay.
