Firefox still supports 10.6 I believe. But that too will cease.
It's not safe to use such outdated software. If anything you should
possibly look at using a lightweight linux distro which will still be
supported on your old hardware and so will the software.

What is an example of one I could use on a Mac? I did not know you
could run Linux with one.

A Mac is just a computer. There is nothing different about it. The
hardware can run Windows as well. You can run any mainstream distro
on a Mac.
For driver and Macintosh Keyboard layout functionality, and ease of
use.. I would suggest sticking with Ubuntu or one of its related
releases. Since your hardware is old. A nice lightweight OS will do it
wonders. Look up Xubuntu and Lubuntu, take your pick.

I have the same system on my old macbook and I did some research:
Firefox have the best result on html5test and Safari have the lowest.
Opera and Chrome are not much worse than Firefox although Chrome
have the best performance. (edit formating)

1. Install linux and ditch your proprietary OS.
2. Palemoon.

You do realize not everyone's software or hardware works with Linux,
correct?

That is perfectly OK. There are alternatives to GNU/Linux, such as
FreeBSD that are fine to use, and even better than GNU/Linux in some
respects. What's NOT perfectly OK is running proprietary software.

Even if proprietary software can get the job done better and easier
than the open source alternatives? I've yet to find a good alternative
to Premiere Pro.

Yes, even then. It is not ethical, or appropriate to use proprietary
software. You are hurting your community, and compromising your
security by using it.
