NARRATIVE REPORT ON THE SCHOOL BASED FEEDING PROGRAM

Every month of July of each year, schools are having nutrition month celebration with the
theme: “Ugaliing Magtanim, Sapat na Nutrisyon Aanihin”, is very significant because the
importance of planting in gaining proper nutrition is highly emphasized. The school ensure garden
yield for school feeding program to provide the children with a nutritious meal. It provides energy
and improves concentration for their daily activities. Through feeding programs, nutritious meals
were provided to children to help decrease the incidence of malnourishment.

Bulo West Elementary School had a Nutrition Month culminating program held last July 12,
2018 with different contested activities. In line with the program, feeding was one of the activities in
the school.

Pupils were grouped into six, from kinder to grade 6 as their members. After all the contested
activities at exactly 11:30 the pupils had their feeding time. The pupils fell in line to have their
feeding. It was started by the kinder, followed by the next grade until the grade six pupils.

After lunch, the pupils went to their own group to do good grooming activities such as lice
catching (agkikinnuto), combing (agsagaysay) one another and cutting nails of their members.

The Oplan sa Kalusugan/ Nutrition month celebration/ program was successfully


implemented without any untoward incidents.
