IV. Rationale:

Bringing all children to literacy in the first years of schooling is not an easy task. It requires
collaboration among professional educators with respect to good classroom teaching and safety
nets for children who need additional literacy support. Children who are having extreme difficulty
learning to read deserve to have educators make every effort possible to ensure their success.
San Vicente Elementary School promotes quality education to its learners and make sure that
the learners get the best education. To give the best education, the school must produce quality and
productive teachers. By upholding the standards, educators making an investment in reading that
can be assured that they will get a high-quality early literacy intervention that will produce results for
children’s learning.

V. Objectives:
A. Identified different strategies use for beginning readers.
B. Determine the reading level of the children and;
C. Provide an appropriate reading strategies, techniques and materials suited to their reading level

VI. Source of Funds: Training expenses will be charged to Local School fund.
