I am a dedicated,
innovative, collaborative
and reflective second year
graduate teacher. I am also
a Level Three Classroom
Teacher aspirant.
In regards to Secondary
Education I specialise in the
subject areas of the
Humanities and Social
Sciences, History,
Geography and the Visual
Arts.
Having taught at a district
high school for the last two
years, I have had the
opportunity to expand my
teaching capacities to also
include the design and
teaching of a variety of
specialist subjects within
Primary Education from Pre-
Primary to Year 6. These
subject areas include
Kitchen Garden, Design and
Technology, Health and
Physical Education and
Visual Arts.

At Pemberton District High School, a co-educational Kindergarten to Year 10
Independent Public School, my role includes being the only Humanities and Social
Sciences teacher to Year 7 to 10 students, and as of 2019 I also teach Year 9/10 Criminal
Investigations as a Secondary School elective and Pre-Primary to Year 6 Kitchen-Garden,
Pre-Primary Design & Technology and Health & Physical Education.
Key Achievements:
Acting as a HOLA for HASS in determining and creating the programs, assessments,
resources and use of the allocated department budget for the year with the aim of
improved student achievement for the disciplines of History, Geography,
Economics, Civics and Citizenship for Years 7 to 10.
Tailoring teaching strategies, programs and resources to students with diverse
learning abilities including students with Individual Education Plans. 
Using AVID, Collaborative, Explicit and Flexible teaching strategies. 
Integrating ICT and Flexible Seating initiatives into the classroom.
Developing a Sustainability initiative.
Establishing a varied and appropriate repertoire of CMS and PBS approaches.
Adapting to the needs of Multi-Age Groupings.
Adapting to the needs of a District High School in order to teach a variety of
subjects in the Primary School.
