The province of Narathiwat is situated in the southern part of Thailand. It is
one of the four provinces in the country dominant with the Muslim population. The area is surrounded mostly by mountains and trees. The town is formerly known as Menara but King Rama VI changed it to Narathiwat in 1915. The province composes an array of cultures and natural resources. The gateway to town is through the Narathiwat Airport (NAW).
