Comedia Ilocandia

The play started with a beautiful and lively entourage of the casts; the band was very

pleasing to the ears. The stage was simple yet elegant. The casts of the play are very graceful and

they portrayed their characters very well, the voices were loud but the dialogues were not really

that clear but there were some parts wherein you can understand what they are saying. The lights

were not blinding, they were just perfect for the play. The storyline was good even though there are

some parts that I somehow didn’t understand. The clown gave life to the play, there were many

parts wherein the people were bored but because of him the people even me was entertained. The

male protagonist’s character was very good on the delivering of his dialogues even with the princess.

On the latter parts when the ending was near the story became unclear and then there is this

question that bothers me, why did the protagonist end up with the other princess when in fact it

was the princess in the violet gown whom he saved and love? And what is really the conflict in the

story? At some point I don’t understand why did it end like that but what came to my mind is that

the time of the play was cut short for it was already late and the people who are watching are

starving because it was pass lunch when the play ended. There were a lot of ad libs that the clown

did to make the play and the viewers be entertained more specially on some parts that the play

became quite boring. What I really love about the play is the consistency on the appearance part of

the casts, whenever they’d enter, they’d be making faces or be dancing which was shown whenever

they enter and even if they would exit. Overall the play was really good, and I can say that even if

that was my first time to watch comedia, I was really entertained and that was really a good one

especially with the skills and talents that the casts have considering they are teenagers. And with the

days and time of preparations that they had they were really amazing to come up with that

awesome play. A job well done indeed.
