Robbery with Homicide

The students were given a task from their respective teacher which is to
demonstrate the process of PNP manual on the crime scene and make a video out of it.
Besides, the students are divided. In which some are Police officers and SOCO Team
and the others are victim and perpetrator. They are expected to perform the following: To
distinguish the different function of Police officer and SOCO team in the crime scene. To
demonstrate the first respondent, the functions of the duty of SOCO Team; which is to
search, record, collect and turn it over to the Investigator of the case. The witness may
then filled a police blotter to record the incidents and to filled an Affidavit of Witness for
the Pre-trial in the court.
August 27, 2019 (Tuesday) 7:30 Am at Barangay Macasandig reported the
incident by the concern citizens namely Hirocan who ask for help for the Police which is
located at the Police station 9. The one who respond the call of Hirocan is SPO4 Jhon
Leonard Cabilogan who then immediately respond the location of Hirocan. When the
Police officer arrived the crime scene he make sure that the witness was okay and he
checked the said area to confirm the positivity of the crime.
After that, he called his Senior Officer that is obliged as an Investigator of the case,
to ask for back up and SOCO Team. The Investigator of the case (IOC) called the
Command Post for the assistance of SOCO Team. Moreover, at exact time of 12:00 PM
SOCO Team arrived and take in charge the crime scene. Besides, the Medical doctor
confirmed the dead body and they began to conduct search.
Followed by recording which is sketching from General to the Specific location of
the victim, Measuring the length and width of any physical evidences. The following are
the centimeters base on the measurement of the SOCO Team: 52 cm is the length from
the body feet to the wall, 80 cm is the width right side from the body to the wall, 25 cm is
the length from head to the wall, 20 cm is the width side from the bullet to the wall, 2 cm
is the length side from head to bullet and 25 cm is the length from bullet to upper wall.
Besides in the room near at stairs. Weapon is found and the measurement from
the wall is 91 cm width left side, 50 cm length down side and 106 cm width right side.
Moreover in the kitchen the last bullet measured that is 240 width left side from the bullet
to wall, 20 cm width right side and 152 cm in the upper location of the crime scene. One
of the team is task to write an information base on his/her observation and the other is
responsible to conduct a photography and videography for recording purposes. The team
executed line search for the final search.
After that, they’ve collected the evidences after recording and they give the
evidences to the Investigator of the case for the preservation of the evidences. The
physical evidences or the records will be used by the SOCO Team in the laboratory to
examine which helps the police officer to identify and arrest the perpetrator. Furthermore,
the witness may voluntarily filled an incident report or police blotter to give information to
help the police for them to answer the cardinal questions or known as 5W’’s AND 1 H.
This incident record can be help to solve the crime and that is to identify and arrest the
perpetrator. Additionally The Affidavit of witness is needed since there is a concerned
witness who is willing to raise the case in the court.
In conclusion, we discovered that the crime committed is Robbery with homicide
because According to the Revised Penal Code of the Philippines Title 10, Chapter 1
define the act of crime against persons of property. That the generic term to use Homicide
even if it’s not intentionally to kill the victim. Besides the evidence which is the dead body
tell us that she was killed and the motive of killing is to take the things from the victim
because base on the investigation there is no things left inside the bag on the crime
scene. Besides, being an investigator is not easy because you need to analyze carefully
the evidences and it takes patience to examine the results.
Additionally, the Police blotter is important because it records an information from
any complaint of the concerned citizens which helps the police officer to determine the
identity of the suspect. Lastly The Affidavit for witness is hereby important especially in
trial court. Because this is one of the bases of the lawyer and judge in conducting a pre-
trial in court. And it can be used as an evidence to win the case.
