are 5 mental health facilities in albay that cater person mental disorder but limited wards only. The

In order to have a knowledge in designing and planning of mental health care the researchers
conducted an interview to Ar. Kim Ciudadano architect of Don Susano J. Rodriguez Memorial
Mental Hospital and he gave a plan for the reference of the researcher and use it as guide in the
development of the study and what would be the design of the project.
The proponents conducted a site visit on existing mental hospital which is Don Susano J.
Rodriguez Memorial Mental Hospital which is under renovation located at Cadlan, Pili, Camarines
Sur having a 200 bed wards. According to Ma. Theresa R. Galvan, Nurse V & Assistant
Administrator of BMC they are catering all mental disorder and the whole Bicol region and nearby
Chona Bon, RN, Senior Health Program Officer also interviewed to know the total mentally
ill registry in Bicol from year 2015-2020 and asked to have a copy of it. The researcher aimed to
know the total number of male and female admitted in the facilities here in Bicol region according
to her that the data was not clear because the mental health cares in the whole Bicol region submitted
only the total number of their patients not the gender if is it male or female.

According to Mr. Kent B. Cernechez, Administrative Assistant III, as of January 2020 there
are a sub total of patients in Bicol Region which is 20,793 mentally ill patients.
