PRAYERS FOR THE DECEASED: We pray for our loved ones who have died recently
especially Etta Vermette and Doug Visneskie.
PRAYERS FOR THE SICK AND SHUT-IN: “Let us raise up in prayer those who seek God’s
healing love, those at the hospital, hospice and at home”. We pray especially for Gary Cybulski,
and Kay Kasaboski . May your struggle be consoled by Christ’s love“.

ALTERNATE GIVING: Catalogues for “ Chalice” are available at the doors of the church. Please forward
your donations directly to the Chalice organization following the instructions in the brochure.
The “Care Fund” is our parish outreach to local families who struggle at this time of year. Monetary donations
or gift cards to local stores are most appreciated. Please drop off to the office or place them in marked envelopes
in the collection basket. As requests come in we welcome your assistance as we reach out to the unemployed and
working poor.

THANK YOU – Our recent celebration of the sacrament of confirmation was in a great part facilitated by a
group of adults who assisted as catechists. Please accept our thanks. Several are younger adults aspiring to be
full time teachers in our schools. We trust that this experience enriches your ministry as Catholic educators.

FINANCE AND PROPERTY COMMITTEE: We thank Colin Slight and Dorothy Yemen who have
consented to assist in an advisory capacity as new members of our finance and property committee. I like
to refer to our monthly meetings as the Pastors confession! I have to admit to what I did this month with
the money! Welcome and thanks for your generous response.

CHRISTMAS DÉCOR – Our thanks to our caretaker, John Laviolette for his Angel creations on the walls
of the church. John’s artistic talent is our gift at St. Francis and often goes unrecognized. Please feel free to
personally extend your appreciation to him for his efforts.

FUNERAL MASS SERVERS – Due to the early start times at our schools and the subsequent changes in
scheduling, it is proving virtually impossible to co-ordinate mass servers for funerals here. Lately we have
been fortunate to have several of our week day servers assist with funerals. In discussion with the Pastoral
Council we have decided to look more closely at developing this ministry in the new year.

“LET US ADORE HIM“: Christmas Celebration Cantata

2nd ANNUAL DIOCESAN HIGH SCHOOL RETREAT: (Gr. 8 –
12) will be held at CSC Jeanne-Lajoie High School from Jan.
28th – 30th. Titled “A REVELATION”, this retreat is based on the
teachings of John Paul II in relation to Theology of the Body and
the truth about love. Info and registration forms are available in
