VISUAL AND MECHANICAL INSPECTION:

1) Conduit has proper identification (i.e., conduit number, warning signs, etc.) as per the submittals, drawings, specifications, etc. and /
or governing code (e.g., ABS, NEC, NFPA, etc.)
2) Inspection of conduit, including seals, fittings, drawings, etc. for damage

3) Conduit is permanently and effectively grounded, unless otherwise permitted by the specifications and / or governing code (i.e.,
ABS, NEC, etc.). Confirm bonding jumpers are installed around expansion joints and flexible conduit where required.
4) Installation is neat, evenly spaced, and conforms to submittals, drawings, specifications, area / division classification, etc. and / or
governing code (e.g., ABS, NEC, NFPA, etc.)
5) Sufficient space is provided between hot surfaces, instrument and power conduit, etc. as per submittals, drawings, specifications,
governing code, etc.
6) Conduit, fittings, drains, etc. are properly supported

7) An adequate number of pulling points are provided

8) Conduit is clean, cut ends have been reamed (free of burrs), stub-ups protected, and open ends plugged

9) Field bend radius is per submittals, drawings, specifications, governing code, etc. and free of deformities

10) Expansion joints, seals, drains, etc. are installed as per submittals, drawings, specifications, manufacturer recommendations, etc.

11) Proper fittings are installed with threads fully engaged (and tight), no wrench cuts, conduit ends have bushings, and covers are
installed
12) Flexible conduit is installed with proper fittings, bending radius, ability to absorb vibration without failure, etc. as per submittals,
drawings, specifications, etc.
13) No more than four quarter bends (360⁰ Total) were made in any one conduit run between outlet boxes, cabinets, panels, or junction
boxes between pull points
