THE COOL
CONNECTION
The Cool Connection is a supply chain
business simulation game with 4
functions: Purchasing, Sales, Finance
and Supply Chain. This cross functional
business simulation will help students
deliver optimal performances using supply
chain best practices from theory and real
life as they are taking decisions in their role
as management team of a manufacturing
company.
Participants will experience the power of
cross functional alignment: alignment
between departments, between strategy
and execution and between partners in the
supply chain. In particular, this business
simulation aims to highlight and teach the
interdependencies between supply chain
management and finance.
Typical supply chain topics such as service
level, delivery methods, production intervals
and warehousing are linked with financial
topics such as payment instruments,
financing and cash management.
Since 2011, The Cool Connection has
been experienced by many students in top
universities across the world and growing
number of experienced professionals in the
banking and supply chain industry.

The Cool Connection is a continuous

learning, multi-stage activity that is spread
throughout the four modules of the master
held at MIP Politecnico di Milano.

of the most relevant universities in telecommunications and railway
management in China.

The week is designed to help participants develop an in-depth

understanding of how Chinese business operates in domestic and
global markets, with an emphasis on operations and supply chain
management. Through classes, presentations and company visits,
participants will deepen their understanding of the Chinese culture and
the local business environment as well as their knowledge of supply
