Broad experience from either oil and gas or similar process industry. Important that you understand
the full value chain of an operational oil & gas set-up. It is not important that you are an expert on
reliability, but that you want to develop into one!

We Offer

The Reliability Engineer is a new position at Maersk Oil DBU. This will give the right candidate the
opportunity to influence the impact of the role /reliability setup in the organisation. We will employ a
skilled maintenance profile.

You will join a team of highly skilled and dedicated colleagues working hard to uphold the integrity
and reliability of our ageing assets in The North Sea and thus securing a stable production.

Key Responsibilities

Positioned in the asset maintenance department, your task is to provide support to the maintenance
community for the assets and to support that Maersk Oil`s reliability, safety, integrity and cost
requirements are met across all assets.

This is assured by your specific tasks:

Report reliability performance of the assets


•Pro-actively use data to suggest improvements
•Participate in root cause analyses for equipment failures
•Derived from data analysis of reliability performance ensure the proper actions are implemented
•Ensure the maintenance strategies are aligned with the equipment failures
•Ensure asset reliability and performance are in compliance with Maersk Oil`s maintenance
strategies and performance standards.
•Propose improvement solutions that balance Integrity, Cost and Reliability.
•Ensure reliability considerations and requirements are implemented in new projects and
improvements.
•Increase the awareness of a reliability culture

Who we are looking for

A candidate with documented experience from a similar position. You have probably worked as
either production or maintenance supervisor or come from a supporting maintenance or engineering
function in back office. You possess strong systematic and analytical skills, and the ability to convert
analysis and detailed technical solutions to actions, presentations to support decisions. The
candidate must also manage the steps from the analysis until the mitigating actions are implemented
and sustained in the organisation.

You can work independently and efficiently, and you understand how a support function can deliver
results to the system responsible, thus an outgoing and collaborative mind set is required.

The essence of this position is that you can make the right decisions working with all disciplines by
involving the right specialists to obtain the optimal solution for the operation in the end. You and
your colleagues build the foundation for a reliability culture across assets and disciplines.

As a person, you are outgoing and cooperative in your approach to others, you think we instead of I,
and you have a natural ability to motivate and inspire others to follow a cause or a project. The right
communication, at the right time, and to the right audience comes naturally to you.

You most probably have the following professional back ground:

 BSc in either mechanical, electrical, instrument/control, marine engineering or similar


education combined with experience from executing maintenance.

 5 – 10 years of operational experience from maintenance or reliability in the oil and gas
industry, chemical process or similar industry environments with high profile on safety and
integrity.

 Training in reliability performance.

 Understanding of how to raise reliability performance and thus support development of a


true reliability culture.

 You can analyse data and thus convert them to improvement actions.

 Knowledge of obsolescence management and reliability in ageing assets.

 Proficiency in spoken and written English.
