Asst. Manager- Supply Chain

East Africa;
Implement the ‘Supply Chain’ to improve the flow of information and materials throughout and
maintain strategic advantage by ensuring forecast accuracy for the International Business. Plan,
manage, evaluate all aspects involved in providing streamlined supply chain services including
customer service, warehousing, inventory control, materials handling, and strategic planning

Supply Chain Management: Full lifecycle involvement in the global supply chain model with
proactive role in procurement and logistics activities from global suppliers for, On-highway
and off-highway products, Mining, MARC and drilling contracts. Develop and scrutinize
supply and demand and provide recommendations to support the management/operation in
making judicious use of resources in order to achieve Service Level targets as defined within
various contracts.

Operations and Processes
Gained global exposure by working within Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, China, Germany, South
Africa and Dubai
Provide technical and consultant support in conducting product life cycle analysis as
recommended by OEM
Managing supply chain model for Hansa group of companies including purchase & Logistics
activities for various mining contracts, On highway and Off-highway products from several
suppliers across the globe.
Key point of contact for key franchise manufacturer’s and vendors.
Develop and mentor team below
Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with suppliers and vendors and leverage
these to conduct effective negotiations and close deals in favor of company
Coordination with sales, logistics and warehousing team to provide an ultimate solution for a
lean supply chain to customers.
Designing and Formulating Standard Operating Procedures for all Supply Chain related
activities.
Maintaining documentation for all standard operating procedures for audit as well as demand
planning purpose.
Reviewing agreement with vendors. Ensure all contractual obligations as buyers are met.
Assisting sales team in designing, generating & continuously improving forecasting techniques,
method, & approach for weekly and/or monthly orders to maintain stock availability at the
same time control stock accumulation.
Continuous and rigorous customer’s market study for prices, raw material prices for analyzing
goods pricing, freight charges, and other cost factors.
Continuous vendor development with the addition of new vendors as pre-defined compliance
check for long-term alliance (distributorship and/or dealer agreements).
Reconciliation of vendor’s statement of accounts, verification of vendor’s documents as per
pre-defined SOPs for payment and payments on due dates.
Proactively facilitating best practices & consensus between functional experts including but not
limited to sales, marketing, operations, HR, finance and legal.
Reporting and resolving warranty claims with the supplier in line to manufacturer’s warranty
claim procedure.

Manage vendor audits and improvement programs
Business development - assist sales team in market research and data analysis, assist strategy
team by providing strong business judgment to derive solutions.
Responsible for annual budgeting and forecasting of overall product line with all
manufacturer’s/vendor’s based on market conditions and consumption pattern of products
Continuous development in INCOTERM, payment term, credit period, price with existing
vendors.
Gained a proven track record and managerial experience in the field of general management,
market research, competitive intelligence and strategy development

In my current position as an Assistant Manager- Supply Chain, I establish strategies, goals, and
metrics to attain company objectives and play an instrumental role in handling overall supply
chain for ‘On-Highway & Off-Highway’ business of the company expanded throughout Central
and Eastern Africa with via distributorship network.
Currently maintaining and developing distributorship of highly reputable and world renowned
manufacturers including, but not limited to:-
