Fabrication: Cold-forming Radius Die Opening

Transverse to Rolling (Easy) 5T 14T

Longitudinal to Rolling (Hard) 6T 16T

Flame Cutting | Standard thermal cutting can be used including oxy-fuel,
plasma, laser and water jet. Plasma cutting under water can be used to 1.00”
thick. Preheating is recommended – refer to the chart below. The HAZ will be
softened by elevated heat input.

The potential for cold cracking increases with plate thickness, therefore
recommended preheat temperature is increased with plate thickness. When
ambient temperature is below 50°F, the recommended preheat should be
increased by 70°F.
