Mechanics and Guidelines: ZUMBA CONTEST P.

1. Each group shall be complete during the contest. Not complete because of absent will have 2pts deduction
in total score.
2. Order of Performances will be based on the number they had picked prior to the contest.
3. Groups must submit their music two days before the proper contest. Failure to submit will have 2 points
deduction in total score.
4. Music and Choreography should be wholesome and lively must not contains any subliminal, sexually
suggestive and vulgar lyrics / language or suggestive act.
5. The Group Contest should contain at least 60% in modernized/stylized music and is in fast modern tempo.
6. The Performance must be at least 5 minutes but not more than 8 minutes including their yells representing
their team name. Any excess in time will have three (3) points’ deduction/ min total score. However each
group will be given 2 minutes to prepare / set up any props or equipment’s needed on stage/ performing
area.
7. Use of props will be allow as long as it will not cause any delay in the program and any harm to the
performance of other groups
8. Appropriate clothing should be observed throughout the competition. Attire may include accessories such
hats, caps, gloves, scarves, jewelries, etc. removing pieces of clothing during the performance is allowed
provided that it is not offensive or out of the character.
9. Appropriate action should be observe during the performance.

Criteria for Judging Way of Grading: Total of 40points

Choreography 40% 95-100%= 40pts.

Mastery and Execution 30% 90- 94%= 35pts.

Choice of Music and Costumes 20% 85- 89%= 30pts.

Audience Impact 10% 80-84%= 25pts.

TOTAL 100% 75- 79%= 20pts.

70 and below= 15pts.
