Fault mode

Corrective measurements on faults:

The system AC 50 is very reliable as all functions are controlled by the micro-processor of the CCU. Even
operational fault caused by the user will be as far as possible eliminated from CCU.

Whenever a fault appears the system automatically goes to stop mode. This is indicated by the green LED in
the CCU. The display shows scrolling: the fault code, the last sending procedure and the jammed station or
diverter. Push key "C" to cancel this fault and display shows: 4 dashes (----) The system is now in stop
mode.

Example: [ Er : 05 ] .... [ 02 : 04 ] .... [ no. : 04 ]

Er : 05 = Mechanical blocking in the DS-station
02 : 04 = Last dispatch was sent from station 2 to station 4
no. : 04 = The station with the number 04 (DS-station) is jammed

Various faults possibilities:

Mechanical blocking on DS-station [ Err : 03, Err : 08, Err : 13 ]

Cause:
Mechanical blockings on the station are mostly caused by overfilled receiving basket (when the basket has
not been emptied). Thus the carrier cannot fall out of the station and the red fault LED is on.

Remedy:
Read the CCU's display of the jammed station or diverter. Empty the receiving basket so that carrier can now
fall out of the station. Push any desired destination key (0 – 9) until the red fault LED is off. The system is
again ready for sending.

DS-station cannot be moved [ Err : 05, Err : 10 ]

Cause:
Mechanical blocking on the station (follow the safety instruction!)

Remedy:
Read the CCU's display of the jammed station or diverter. Open the front lid of the jammed station and set
the service switch to the left (in service position). With keys 1 and 2 you can move the S-tube in both
positions. Attention, do not touch the tube or the mechanism. If you can move the S-tube, set it to the middle
position (to the front). Set the service switch again to the right in the normal position and close the front lid.
Go to CCU and erase the fault with key C. Display shows 4 dashes ( ---- ) and the CCU is still in the stop
mode. Leave the stop mode with key 2. The system is again ready for sending.

Blocking of S-tube in station or diverter [ Err : 04, Err : 07, Err : 09 ]

Cause:
Mechanical blocking on station or diverter. (Follow the safety instruction!)
When more than one carriers are in the dispatch tube, the first carrier touches the tube switch and the S-tube
starts moving back to 0 – position. Now the second carrier may be jammed in the
S-tube.

Remedy:
The jammed station or diverter is displayed in the CCU scrolling with the last sending procedure and the fault
code. The stop mode is automatically occupied and the green LED is on.
After pushing key C the display shows 4 dashes (----). Switch on the pressure blower with key 4, and the
carrier(s) – depending on the fault(s) – will be ejected to sending or receiving station. The blower will switch
off automatically or you can press key 4. Leave the stop mode by pushing key 2. The system is again ready
for sending.

Transit time exceeded [ Err : 01, Err : 99 ] only if the tube switch control is on
Cause:
The reasons maybe: overloaded carrier, worn drive rings, faulty tube switches or malfunction of the
blower. When the tube switch control is off, the system tries to send the carrier to the destination.

Remedy:
Erase the error by pushing key C on the CCU, display shows 4 dashes (----). You are now in stop
mode. Push key 0 (clearing of last sending process) or key 9 (clearing of the complete system). Take
care that the LED 1 (tube switch control) is switched off, if not, push key 1 to switch it off. Leave the
stop mode with key 2. The system is again ready for sending.
