4. Procedures
4.1 Introductory
Activity Checking of assignment is made. Learners are to explain the meaning of most
8 minutes words in every set.
4.2 Activity With a partner, learners answer the activity on Task 2:Say What? on page 69 of
their Learning Package. They are to decide what each idiomatic expression in the
10 minutes sentence mean. There are no choices provided.

4.3 Analysis Checking with discussion of the answers is made. Learners explain how they were
8 minutes able to come up with the meaning of the idioms.
4.4 Abstraction Here, learners are to define idioms and share ideas to the class as to the early use
8 minutes of idioms among stories which were created even during the pre-colonial period.
4.5 Application Now, learners answer Part A of Task 3: Watch Out! on page 70 of their LP.They
are to study if the following sentences can be classified as simple or compound
sentence. They can discuss ideas with their seatmate. Answers are checked right
