THE MUSEUM
 Once in a blue moon,
the painting of Maria
de Celeste changes
hands once more to be
exhibited in museums
across the world. Legend
says that Maria was a
noble woman who lived in
Renaissance Italy. A patron
of the arts, she fell in love
with an obscure artist from
Florence. Tragically, Maria
had passed away shortly
afterwards, contracting a
deadly plague. The artist was
left heartbroken and devasted.
In her memory he painted what
would be his life's greatest
work, a portrait of the woman he
once loved. Though the artist's
identity was lost to time, the
painting has endured hundreds of
years of display around the world.
