INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGN OF PROPOSED CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT (CPD) PROGRAM

I. COURSE /PROGRAM TITLE: 2020 SUMMER IN-SERVICE TRAINING (INSET) FOR TEACHERS

II. COURSE PROGRAM BRIEF DESCRIPTION:

In 2015, the DepEd Issued Order No. 2, s.2015 – “ Guidelines on the Establishment and Implementation of the Results-based Performance Management System
(RPMS) in the Department of Education, ‘’Through the RPMS , the DepEd ensures that work efforts focus towards achieving its vision ,mission , values and strategic
priorities toward the delivery of quality educational services to Filipino learners. The alignment of the RPMS with the Philippine Professional Standards for teachers has led
to the development of new results – based assessment tools. The Results – based Performance Management System provides information and guidance for teachers and
school heads in the performance assessment process. It guides them through the basics in preparing and completing RPMS documents and describes the appropriate
tools to assess performance and explains the different assessment phases for teachers. It also introduces the concept of annotations to guide teachers through critical
reflection of their practices for their continuous improvement.

For the 2018-2019 rating periods, the RPMS-PPST implemented the 13 priority indicators. This year, the next 12 indicators shall be implemented.
Orientation on the 12 new indicators and capacitation on the new tools and forms are necessary. Thus, the first day of this INSET shall be used to orient teachers on the
RPMS-PPST with the next 12 indicators.

***The topics/sessions for the second day shall serve as learning and intervention for teachers. There is a need to revisit D.O. no. 40, s.2012 in order to achieve
ZERO TOLERANCE on child abuse and for the teachers to fully grasp the consequences if there is a violation.

***The school must also have a well- crafted policy and guidelines on Safety and Security in school to avoid any untoward incident that may happen in the future. It
is imperative that the teachers will be involved and fully equipped to be able to react calmly in any possible circumstance.
