Tutorial Sheet 8 – Week 8 – 9th March 2020 to 12th March

Problems: Last Date of submission: 19th March 2020.

Instruction: Assume appropriate missing data if any.

1. An ideal 1us pulse is fed to an amplifier. Calculate and plot the output waveform under the following
conditions: (Assume V=1V)
(a) 10 MHz
(b) 1 MHz
(c) 0.1 MHz

2. A symmetrical square wave having peak to peak amplitude of 2V is applied to RC integrating circuit.
The time constant is equal to half the period of square wave. Find the peak to peak values of output
amplitude.

3. A square wave having peak to peak amplitude of 2V extends ±1V with respect to ground. The
duration of positive section is 0.1 second and that of negative section is 0.2 second. If this
waveform is impressed upon an RC integrating circuit having time constant 0.2 second. What are
the steady state maximum and minimum values of output waveform?

4. A square wave as shown in figure is fed to RC coupling circuit (High pass circuit). What are the
voltage waveform across resistor R if :
(a) RC = 10T
(b) RC = T/10
