Eiastic Fabrics Symposium
Set for February 9-10
With stretch fabrics' increasing pres-
ence in the fashion spotlight, AATCC
will sponsor a symposium on February
9-10 in Charlofte, N.C, to address the
issues facing this segment of the textile
industry. The program, chaired by V.
Thomas Novak of Guilford Milis inc.,
will cover rubber and spandex forma-
tion, design and construction, lahric
formation, preparation, dyeing, heat-
setting, chemical and mechanical fin-
ishing, product testing, color measure-
ment, and color matching. The pro-
gram will open with a marketing pre-
sentation focusing on fashion trends
and new eiastic fabric developments
for knits, wovens, hosiery, and nar-
rows. This presentation will be given
by Terri Fitzpatrick of Bayer Corp.

Just prior to the twentieth annual AATCC Color Measurement workshop, HunterLab and
SheLyn Inc. donated color measuring instrumentation and software to the AATCC Techni-
cal Center. Both are the most current otfereings from the companies and will keep AATCC's
