Career

I want to go into some type of teaching. Mostly I would like to do something to help
kids. I’m not sure if I want to go into special education or general education.
Salary

A teaching salary is about $58,600

Special education teachers can make $59,780

1. Earn a bachelor’s degree and complete a teacher prep program


2. Fulfill the student teaching requirement
3. Earn your master’s degree if your specialization requires one
4. Pass your state’s required exam for teachers
5. Apply for state teacher certification

Assess students’ skills and determine their educational needs

Reflection on careers and career cruising

1. I really want to help people and preferably children. Being a teacher is also one
of the most important jobs but it also seems like something I would enjoy and
feel satisfied doing.
2. I think that I would also enjoy working in education but out of the classroom.
3. On career cruising my results showed that I would be best in an educational
career. My top three careers were 1. Elementry Teacher 2. Special Ed Teacher
and 3. Middle School Teacher
4. I think that this really shows what I want to be and helped confirm the career
path I want to take.
