Quick Start
Introduction
Thank you for choosing the Matrix Eternity! Please read the instructions in this
quick start to install this feature reached System.
This Quick Start is meant to help you install the basic features and parameters
of the system. For advanced installation and detailed feature description,
please refer the Eternity System Manual provided to you on the CD-ROM.
It is possible to configure the Eternity using following interfaces:
• Web interface (TCP/IP)
• Telephonic interface (using SLT and DKP)
• Serial Interface (RS-232)
Compared to the telephonic and serial interface, the Web interface is simpler
and more user friendly. Hence, we recommend the system engineer to use the
web interface to configure the Eternity.
Precautions
• Ensure proper electrical earth and telecom earth for safety of personnel as
well as of the System.
• Always wear properly earthed anti static belts while handling the cards of
the System.
• Use Primary Protection on the trunk and long distance extension lines to
protect the system from lightning and electrical surges.
• It is advisable that the system should be installed away from any source of
electromagnetic noise such as any radio equipment, heavy transformers,
faulty electric chokes of tube-lights, any device having a faulty coil etc. This
will reduce any problem arising due to electromagnetic effect.
