Your senior project is due May 11. There are no exceptions or extensions. Make
sure to plan accordingly.
Five days will be set aside for the presentations; you must sign up for a day and
present on that day. A sign-up sheet will be available on May 6.
Your presentation must be 9-11 minutes in length.
You have several options for the presentation. You may make a video and post it
online, an iMovie, a photo story, or make a DVD with the presentation. You may
also make a PowerPoint and present the information live in class (you must have at
least ten slides). You must also use Microsoft 365 and share the PowerPoint with
your teacher prior to the day of the presentation. Email me:
suzanne.greenfield@uticak12.org
You must speak knowledgeably about your senior project; do not read your
presentation to us. Use good public speaking techniques: a loud clear voice, eye
contact with the audience, an enthusiastic tone, and a confident manner.
What you must include in your presentation:
The title of your project and your name
The places you performed your community service and the organization
you served
How many hours you volunteered at each location
What was required of you (your job description)
Who you helped
The history behind the organization (using MLA format for
documentation); this requires you to complete research.
The organization’s purpose (using MLA format for documentation)
At least one interesting thing that happened while volunteering
At least one thing that surprised you while volunteering
At least three reasons why you were needed
At least three reasons why community service is important (using MLA
format for documentation)
At least three important lessons you learned from volunteering
