VISAYAN CREATION MYTH

A majority of these myths were passed
on through oral tradition.
The way the story was

CONT.
narrated portrays strongly the common experience of
 the people.

Only through their experience that they could best

explain or answer their questions about the world
and things that remain hidden or mysterious to them.

Some of the traditions were written down by foreign scholars,

sadly many of these wondrous tales were forgotten and evidence
of their existence destroyed and erased from the fabric of time.
All myths are stories, but not all
stories are myths: among stories,
myths hold a special place.
