1. In the journey of Jesus, he saw the two brothers, namely Simon and Andrew.
The two brothers, without any hesitation, followed Jesus and leave whatever they
are doing at the time. They were invited by Jesus to “fish for people”, as their
journey continues, they saw again two brothers just like Simon and Andrew. It
was the sons of Zebedee, John and Andrew. Again, Jesus invited them and
without hesitation they left what they are doing and their father and followed
Jesus undoubtingly.
2. Just as Jesus saw them, he came and said to them “Come, follow me and I will
send you out to fish for people.” By this, Jesus meant that if they follow Him, they
will be disciples of God and will also become righteous people who will follow
Him in reaping a harvest of more disciples. And for John and James, Jesus said
the same thing and followed Him again.
3. Based from the Gospel of Mark, to be a disciple of Christ is to follow Him without
any question or doubt. Following Jesus will also mean, following Him and leaving
all of the things that you are doing no matter how important it is. Just like the four
fishermen, as Jesus called them, they followed Him without any question and
leave their works behind them.
4. a. When Jesus said the words ‘Come with me’, He meant to follow Him with just
you and nothing else more. It means to join Jesus in his mission and become
one with Him in fulfilling the plans of the Father. And to come with Him, means to
come willingly and not by force.
b, In Jesus’ words, ‘I will make you’ will mean that they will be a part of a great
mission that Jesus would give them. Jesus will make them one with His mind and
his plans in fulfilling the wishes that God gave him.
 c. “Fishers of me” as mention by Jesus in and indirect term, means that they or
“us/we” should follow Him, become His sons and disciples and we will become
fishers who will also “fish” or gather more disciples to follow the will and word of
the Lord.
5. The true meaning of following Jesus is to follow with a heart that is open and
willing to learn. A questioning mind should be vanished which means a person
should put his faith and trust in the Lord. To follow him Means to follow
everything willingly and fulfill the mission that was given to us.
