Research Topic: Global Warming

Research Title: Global Warming: Is it caused by humanity or is just a part of a natural

cycle of the Earth?

The problems and it’s background:

1.The too much heat strikes on the Earth causes desertification
2.The gradual rising of water causes sinking of small islands
3.The melting of ice caps in North and South Pole

Hypothesis: Global Warming is just a part of a natural cycle of the Earth but due to
certain activities of people, well it affects.
State the coverage and limitation of your study:

What is causing climate change?

Geological records stretching back millions of years indicate a number of large

variations in Earth’s climate. These have been caused by many natural factors,
including changes in the sun, volcanoes, Earth’s orbit and CO2 levels.However,
research by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) shows that it is
90% likely that human activity has caused more recent global warming.

The Earth’s natural climate cycle

Over the last 800,000 years, there have been natural cycles in the Earth’s climate.
There have been ice ages and warmer interglacial periods. After the last ice age
20,000 years ago, average global temperature rose by about 3°C to 8°C, over a
period of about 10,000 years.

We can link the rises in temperature over the last 200 years to rises in atmospheric
CO2 levels. Rises in temperature are now well above the natural cycle of the last
800,000 years.

Draw a sample paradigm of the concept:

List five(5) words that you will you define:
1 Greenhouse gases-is a gas that absorbs and emits radiant energy within the
thermal infrared range. Greenhouse gases cause the greenhouse effect on planets.
The primary greenhouse gases in Earth's atmosphere are water vapor, carbon
dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide, and ozone.
2 Climate Change- a change in global or regional climate patterns, in particular a
change apparent from the mid to late 20th century onwards and attributed largely to
the increased levels of atmospheric carbon dioxide produced by the use of fossil
fuels.
3 Global Warming-is the long-term rise in the average temperature of the Earth's
climate system. It is a major aspect of climate change and has been demonstrated
by direct temperature measurements and by measurements of various effects of the
warming. Global warming and climate change are often used interchangeably.
4 Temperature-the degree or intensity of heat present in a substance or object,
especially as expressed according to a comparative scale and shown by a
thermometer or perceived by touch.
5 Fossil fuels-is a fuel formed by natural processes, such as anaerobic
decomposition of buried dead organisms, containing energy originating in ancient
photosynthesis.
