Opening Prayer

Let us bow our heads and feel the presence of our Lord.
In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, Amen.
Oh Loving Heavenly Father, through the long sweep of time, and within the vast
distance of space, we, in this present moment, and in this place, acknowledge You and
exalt Your most precious name. We are moved by reverence and gratitude, as Your
infinite goodness gathers us here today to rejoice in the achievements of the whole
Cherian community.

Father, we apologize for all the ways we let You down. We are very sorry for the
times we have doubted Your greatness O, Lord. May You purify our hearts and cleanse
our thoughts. May You permeate in us forgiving hearts to reconcile with those who
sinned against us.

Dear Lord of All, thank You for this victorious day. This occasion is not only about
the medals we will be receiving at the end of the day, nor about the one who will emerge
as the best but also, this is about the great opportunity to be blessed by You and the
chance to be dubbed as one of God’s bests. This is also about the character honed in us
during our academic journey. Truly, discipline, perseverance, and the determination to
excel are instilled in us abundantly. This is about the humble heart of a person who is
able to see how blessed he or she is despite the odds and difficulties along the way.

We thank You also for the lives of our friends, classmates, teachers,
administrators, parents and loved ones. Thank You for making them instruments of Your
good will. They have been very caring and supportive in all our endeavors. May we ask
You to bless them in countless ways.

Gracious God, we acknowledge that everything comes from You – the God who
orchestrates every second of our lives so perfectly because of Your great love for us. All
the praises, awards, and accolades that we will receive today are meant to be given
back to You. It is because of Your grace and Your guidance that we have come this far.
Whatever is set before us, we give all the glory back to You.

In You, we live and have our being. We ask that You would raise up greatness in
our lives, greatness in this generation, willing to stand strong and true, passionate for
You, believing that You have designed us for purpose and good works.

Lord, we lift up everything unto You. Be a lamp to our feet and a light to our path.
Shine over us. Fill us with Your spirit. Bless us with Your favor and peace.
