CNC MACHINE
Introduction: - computer numeric control is the automaton of machine tools that are
operated by precisely programmed commands encoded on a storage medium. Most NC
today is computer control (CNC) in which computers play an integral part of the
control.
History: - The first NC machines were built in the 1940s and 1950s, based on existing
tools that were modified with motors that moved the control to follow points fed into
the system on punched tape.
Description: -
Motion is controlled along multiple axes, normally at least two (X and Y) and a tool
spindle that moves in the Z (depth). The position of tool is driven by direct-drive stepper
motor or servo motors in order to provide highly accurate movements.
CNC like systems are now used for any process that can be described as a series
of movements and operations. These include laser cutting, welding, friction stir
welding, ultrasonic welding, flame and plasma cutting, bending, spinning, hole-
punching, pinning, gluing, fabric cutting, routing and sawing etc…
TASK-10B
Introduction------------
One of the systems in the world of transportation is Railways, which carries
heavy loads next to shipping. The loads may be in the form of passengers or cargo.
Railway becomes a biggest public transportation. Railways are always opting for
passenger convenient systems and are developing various comforts and are devising
easy operation for safety.
Indian railways are the state owned railway network of India. The ministry of
railways is responsible for the operation, maintenance and growth of the rail network
in India, the fifth largest network in the world in terms of track length, behind the US,
Russia, Canada and China. Indian railways is one of the largest and busiest rail network
in the world, transporting eighteen million passengers daily and more than two million
tones of freight daily.
Railways were first introduced to India in 1853. By 1947, the year of India's
independence, there were forty-two rail systems.
Working principle-----------------
In our project called SANPOLEAP EXPRESS, we are providing an engine with
motor, gearbox, axle, wheels and bearing and bearing housing and DC batteries for the
drive. The engine can be started by putting the button on. The engine is attached by a
compartment (in this model we are making only one compartment of long length instead
of many compartments which is linked between each other) and the chain is fixed from
first door to the last door of the last compartment, and on this chain is the pallet
mechanism which starts moving back due to the rotation in reverse direction relative to
the train direction. The track is made on which the engine along with the compartments
are moving. The compartments which is having axles and bearings and bearing housing
rotates and the chain starts moving at the button pressing and makes a pallet to move
backwards in the same speed of the forward motion. The passengers can stand on this
pallet which moves backward, and relative with the platform it is stationery and
passengers can safely alight or get into. The pallet movement can be stopped by the
button activation.
Advantages----------
1. Train fuel is saved to the great extent.
2. The fuel spent to propel the train from zero to the particular speed takes time
and consumes lot of fuel almost 6 times of fuel than the normal drive.
3. Train traveling time is saved, saving in many man hours, which accounts to
crores of hours of the total passengers time is counted.
4. National saving, in cost and manpower.
5. Passengers can safely and confidently travel.
Disadvantages-------------------
1. Mechanism is to be maintained properly.
2. It is to be still developed for practical usage which needs lot of research.
3. This is a model to show the basic working principle.

Thermal Power Plant
For: ANUP Against: NADEEM
NADEEM : It releases lot of soot & fly ash & pollutes the environment, flora &
fauna.
ANUP : Initial cost & running cost are less compared to gas & diesel plants.
NADEEM : Operational consists higher than compared to hydro & nuclear power
plants.
ANUP : By using the thermal power we can generate higher power & we can
run the turbines at high speed.
NADEEM : Using the nuclear power plant also we can generate power more than
thermal power plant.
NADEEM : Handing gas & disposal of ash its quite difficult & required large area.
ANUP : Steam plants can with stands for the over load for some extent.
NADEEM : But, the efficiency of thermal power plants quite less (30 to35%)
COCLUSION: Finally, we can conclude that thermal power is more reliable compare
to UN conventional power sources. The load is exhaustible but has got
more advantages safety wise then compare to nuke plants.

The residents of the world famous marine drive boulevard are soundly
sleeping in their posh apartments overlooking the Arabian Sea. Little to do they know
that their morning is going to be enlightened with the majesty of an Italian V-TEN or
giving a performance good enough to bring Luciano Pavarotti back to life.
The LP 550/2 looks like it is going fast even when it is standing still; and that
is precisely the kind of character you expect every supercar to exude. But the Gallardo
is more than just a typical shouty, low slung, mid-engined supercar with its “Look at
ME”! Yellow paint.
Drive her at a leisurely pace and most people even notice you; that why would
one buy a Gallardo to drive it slowly? Now, don’t get us wrong, we don’t encourage
any one to drive fast, but the Gallardo is one of those cars that you have to experience
with a fair bit of shouting and speed.
Now as much as we hate talking about the next bit, in the interest of being fair,
we have to. Possibly the worst aspect about the Gallardo we drove is the interior.
When you send a fortune on a car, you expect the interior to make you special; the
Gallardo does not make you that way. It is cramped, uncomfortable and feels, at most,
flimsy. The plastic quality on the door handle and the center console feels like they
have been made from the leftover bits and pieces from a children’s toy factory in
china.

INTRODUCTION:-
A system boiler, is a closed vessel in which the water is converted into steam
by the application of heat. Fuels, which are commonly used in boilers are coal, oil and
gas for producing heat. The steam generated by the boiler is used in various industries
for the processing heating and for running steam turbines in power plant.
TYPES OF BOILERS:-
Cochran boiler
Bobcock or Wilcox boiler
Benson boiler
La Mont boiler
La Mont boiler:-
La Mont first introduced a forced circulation boiler, in 1925. This is one of the
modern high pressure boiler. The feed water from hot well is supplied to a storage and
separating drum (boiler) through the economizer. Most of the sensible heat is supplied
to the feed water passing through the evaporator tubes and the parts of the vapour is
separated in the separator drum. The large quantity of water circulated (10 times that of
evaporation) prevents the tubes being overheated.
The centrifugal pump delivers the water to the headers at a pressure of 2.5bar
above the drum pressure. The distribution headers distribute the water through the
nozzle into the evaporator. The steam separated in boiler is further passed through the
super heater where the steam is superheated and finally supplied to the prime mover.

TASK -2
ONE TO MANY COMMUNICATION
The stroke begins when the piston is at top dead center (TDC). As the
piston moves downwards, the inlet valve opens. A mixture of petrol and air
vapours, mixed proportionally by the carburetor enters into the piston cylinder
and fills the space in the cylinder till the piston reaches its lowest position
known as bottom dead center(BDC)
2) COMPRESION STROKE:-
The piston will move up after the intake stroke. The inlet valve closes
when the piston moves upward. The exhaust valve also remain closed. The
piston compresses the fuel-air mixture by pushing it upward into clearance
space at the top of the cylinder. Pressure and temperature of the mixture
increased during compression stroke.
3) POWER STROKE:-
The fuel-air mixture at high pressure and temperature is ignited by a
spark. The spark ignites the fuel-air mixture. This burning increases the pressure
and temperature of the gases further. The gas expand producing on explosive
force pushing the piston down. Thus, piston moves down at high acceleration.
The piston is connected to the connecting rod and connecting rod is attached to
the crankshaft. The linear movement of the piston is converted into rotary
motion of the crankshaft.
4) EXHAUST STROKE:-
Piston reaches the bottom dead center (BDC) at the end of the power
stroke. As the exhaust valve opens the burnt gases escape to atmosphere at
greater speed. The piston moves up from bottom dead center and pushes out the
remaining burnt gases present inside the cylinder. At the end of exhaust stroke,
the exhaust valve closes. The cycle is repeated.
