Benefits of physical activity:
Physical activity is essential for the maintenance and
improvement of health and the prevention of diseases, for
all people and at any age. Physical activity contributes to
prolonging life and improving its quality, through
physiological, psychological and social benefits, which have
been supported by scientific research.

● ADDITIONAL IN CHILDHOOD AND ADOLESCENCE
PHYSIOLOGICAL BENEFITS
Physical activity reduces the
risk of suffering:

● Cardiovascular diseases
● High blood pressure
● Colon cancer and diabetes.

● It helps control overweight,
obesity and the percentage of
body fat.

● Strengthens bones,
increasing bone
density.

benefits are especially
important in the case of
physical or mental
disability.

stages are:
● The contribution to the integral
development of the person.
● The control of overweight and
obesity. In this stage, the
control of obesity is very
important to prevent adult
obesity.

osteoporosis in adult life.

nervous system and increase of
motor skills.

EFFECTS OF BAD HABITS IN YOUR HEALTH
Bad health habits are those actions or negative
behaviors that are repeated by a person in a
systematic way. These actions or behaviors have
negative consequences on health, bring irreparable
damage, are difficult to correct and lead to a worse
quality of life.
We must learn to recognize these habits in each of us, so
we can have better control over them and take the right
steps to change

Within the group of bad habits, we will cite those that


are most harmful:

● Smoke
● Alcohol abuse
● Lead a sedentary lifestyle

This is perhaps one of the
negative habits that most
affect your health and that
only in the United States
kills more than 400,000
people each year.
ALCOHOL ABUSE

Like people who smoke, those


who abuse alcohol also cause
serious damage to their health,
it is even known that most
suicides are related to
alcohol.
Lead a sedentary lifestyle
To stay in good physical
condition and healthy, it is
essential to do some kind of
activity, walking, biking or
find some way to be physically
active at some time of the day.
COMPONENTS OF PHYSICAL ACTIVITY

Physical activity has many components, the most related


to health are:

● Cardiorespiratory resistance

● Flexibility
● Muscular strength and endurance

● Coordination is an important component

in childhood
